This fall, dive into a memorable retreat experience in the heart of Gallura Region, in Sardinia Island with Michela Tartaglia, owner and chef of Pasta Casalinga in Pike Place Market Seattle.
The retreat will take place in Gallicantu, a spectacular stazzu -farmhouse-, concealed amidst more than three hectares of Mediterranean scrub and anthropomorphically shaped granite boulders.
Five days full of activities from her cooking class held in the former old barn, now transformed in a modern kitchen surrounded by centuries-old trees to a catamaran boat day excursion through the crystal-clear waters of the Maddalena archipelago Protected Marnie Area dinner onboard. From wine tasting and excursion to Surrau in Arzachena, one of the most renowned wine producers of north Sardinia to a hike to Palazzo di Baldu, a medieval fortress and Castle of Balajana and to visit small local cheese makers and more.
During downtime, enjoy the tranquillity of the wellness area with a sauna, Turkish bath, sensorial showers or simply sip your wine in the Limonaia with panoramic views over the hills of Gallura and Corsica.
PROGRAMDay 1 | Picking up at the airport, arrive at Gallicantu, welcome aperitivo, dinner in house (3-courses meal).
Day 2 | Breakfast, Cooking class and lunch, wellness/treatments on request, visit and dinner in a local Agriturismo.
Day 3 | Breakfast, Catamaran day trip To Maddalena Archipelago, lunch on the boat, wellness/treatments on request, pizza night at Gallicantu.
Day 4 | Breakfast, 3 hours hike to Palazzo di Baldu and picnic , wellness/treatments on request, Surrau wine tasting and dinner in Arzachena.
Day 5 | Breakfast, transportation to Olbia downtown and shopping in the old town, possible lunch together (not included).
